The BSDP believes that by following these principles, Bangladesh can become a prosperous and just society for all.
Mission & Vision
The Bangladesh Social Democratic Party (BSDP) is founded on empowering the people, ensuring social justice, and establishing economic equality within a democratic society.
Vision Statement
The vision of BSDP is to establish a just and equitable society where every citizen has the opportunity to fulfil their basic needs and develop.
Mission Statement
The party will implement this vision even if it does not get government power through social welfare initiatives. Among these initiatives, unemployment, healthcare, education, skill development, access to technology and digital inclusion will be implemented on a priority basis.
A dedicated committee will be formed within the party for social welfare projects. This committee will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of welfare initiatives.


Objectives
Country and nation first: The independence, sovereignty, security, state cohesion and democracy of Bangladesh will be strengthened and strengthened through mass unity. The interests and well-being of the people of Bangladesh will be given priority in every decision and action of the party. Social justice, equality and inclusion will be promoted for all citizens of Bangladesh, regardless of religion, caste, gender or background.

Prof. h.c. Dr. Engineer Bibhuti Roy
Chairman
Prof. h.c. Dr. Engineer Bibhuti Roy was being employed at the German public service for 27 years and since then he was a faculty member of the department of Industrial Technical Sciences, University of Bremen, Germany. He was also a former vice-department head of the department “Information Technology and Competence” of the Institute of Technology and Education (ITB). He has teaching and training experience in national and international institutions and publishes numerous scientific papers and holds various lectures internationally. He is one of the founders of the University of Skill Enrichment and Technology (USET) in Bangladesh. Engineering Pedagogy and Didactics are teaching and research areas. The main focus is thereby to research on the relationship of technology and technical teaching in the fields of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology with the aim to develop employment-based technical education and training.
Numerous international practice-oriented projects have been developed and implemented on these fields to investigate the complexity of influence factors and relationships concerning the design of customized curricula, training concepts as well as transfer mechanism of technology and know-how. Distinguished projects for Africa like WATERBIOTECH (Biotechnology for sustainable Water supply for Africa) with nine African countries as well as for Bangladesh like “Khulna Solar Energy Production and Training Center” with Khulna City Corporation, “Teachers Online” with Khulna University and Engineering and Technology (KUET), “IT-Upgrade” with Bangladesh Association of Software Information Services (BASIS), “Educational Software Development and Production” with Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) and “Computer-Assisted Clothing Design and Fashion Management” with East West University, Dhaka as well as “Master Trainer Training in Mechatronics and Automation Technology” with BITAC (Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center) of the Bangladesh Ministry of Industry have been developed, financed as well as coordinated. Most of these projects aimed to involve Small and Middle Scale Enterprises (SMEs), Universities, Institutions and public bodies to ensure demand-oriented technical education and training on the one side and comprehensive know-how transfer on the other.

Engr. Bivash Kanti Mondal
Engr. Bivash Kanti Mondal is a Visionary academic leader with 24 years of experience in technical education, seeking the role of Principal to foster innovation, drive academic excellence, and build strong industry partnerships. He is committed to shaping a dynamic and future-ready learning environment.
An experienced academic leader with over two decades in technical and vocational education, specializing in institutional development, curriculum design, and industry collaboration. Served in key leadership roles including Principal and Vice-Principal at renowned institutions such as Hope Polytechnic, SAIC Institute, and BCMC College. Proven track record in enhancing academic standards, faculty development, and student.

General Secretary
Engineer Md. Mahbub Sumon
Mahbub Sumon is a Bangladeshi innovator and clean energy expert, renowned for his work in solar and wind energy, as well as sustainable materials. As the Managing Director of Shalbrikkho, a Narayanganj-based startup, he has developed eco-friendly solutions like Polka Bioplastic, Polka Flex Banner, and Bonkagoj—a plantable paper made from recycled waste embedded with seeds. Sumon’s initiatives aim to reduce plastic pollution and promote environmental resilience across Bangladesh.
He has also led projects utilizing upcycled materials, such as transforming donated saris into reusable bags, which have gained international attention and export orders.
Through Shalbrikkho, Sumon continues to champion green innovation, combining renewable energy solutions with sustainable product development to foster a cleaner, more resilient future for Bangladesh.

Treasurer
Dr. S. M. Malek
Dr. S. M. Malek is a medical doctor who has held various positions in Bangladesh and he is retired as RMO of Khulna Sadar Hospital in Khulna. During his extensive career, he worked as a doctor in Côte d’Ivoire and the Democratic Republic of Congo as part of the United Nations peacekeeping mission. He is a life member of numerous professional and cultural associations in Bangladesh.

Executive Member
Ekramunnesa Champa
Ekramunnesa Champa is a Bangladeshi environmental innovator and social entrepreneur. She serves as the Chairman of Shalbrikkho. Shalbrikkho focuses on sustainable solutions, including biodegradable materials like Polka Bioplastic and Polka Flex Banner, and eco-friendly paper alternatives such as Bonkagoj. Their initiatives aim to reduce plastic pollution and promote environmental resilience across Bangladesh.
In response to flooding in Bangladesh, Shalbrikkho, under the leadership Ekramunnesa Champa, constructed boats using bamboo and repurposed plastic drums, and developed floating toilets to aid affected communities.
Ekramunnesa Champa’s contributions to environmental sustainability have been recognized with the Green Innovation of the Year award at the Environment Innovation Awards 2024.
Key Party Principles:
The BSDP’s core ideology is based on social democracy, aiming to establish an equal society. The party stands by the following fundamental principles:
Commitment to democratic institutions and processes. Emphasis on the importance of political pluralism, free and fair elections, and the protection of civil liberties.
Support for equal rights for all and policies that reduce social and economic inequality. The importance of the rights of marginalized groups and inclusion in society.
Acceptance of both private enterprise and public ownership. Support for a regulated market economy that aims to balance social welfare with efficiency.
