Women and Child Policy of the Bangladesh Social Democratic Party's (BSDP)

The Bangladesh Social Democratic Party (BSDP) is dedicated to ensuring the rights, safety, and empowerment of women and children. Our policy focuses on gender equality, access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for women. We advocate for stronger laws against violence and discrimination while promoting social awareness programs to uplift marginalized women. For children, BSDP prioritizes child protection, nutrition, and education to build a healthier and brighter future. We are committed to creating a society where women and children can thrive with dignity and equal opportunities..

Women’s Policy

 

1. Empowerment and Equality

  • Promotion of gender equality in all sectors, including education, employment, and political representation.
  • Implementation of programs that support women’s leadership and participation in decision-making processes.

2. Health and Reproductive Rights

  • Assurance of access to comprehensive healthcare services, including maternal and reproductive health care.
  • Education facility and resources on family planning and reproductive rights.

3. Protection Against Violence

  • Establishment and enforcement laws against domestic violence, sexual harassment, and human trafficking.
  • Creation of support systems, such as shelters and counselling services for survivors of violence.

4. Economic Opportunities

  • Supporting programs that promote women’s entrepreneurship and access to credit and financial services.
  • Advocate for equal pay for equal work and policies that support work-life balance, such as parental leave.

5. Education and Training

  • Assurance of equal access to education for girls and women, including vocational training programs.
  • Promotion of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education for girls to encourage participation in these fields.

Child Policy

 

1. Child Rights and Protection

  • Advocate for the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
  • Establishment of mechanisms for the protection of children from abuse, exploitation, and neglect.

2. Education

  • Assurance of free and compulsory education for all children, with a focus on marginalized and disadvantaged groups.
  • Promotion of inclusive education policies that cater to children with disabilities.

3. Health and Nutrition

  • Implementation of programs to improve child health and nutrition, reducing malnutrition and ensuring access to vaccinations.
  • Promotion of mental health awareness and services for children and adolescents.

4. Social Welfare

  • Development of social safety nets and welfare programs for low-income families to support child development.
  • Encouragement of community-based initiatives that promote family support and child care.

5. Participation and Voice
